polistrumentista autodidatta guidato dal grande John Lennon quando aveva solo diciassette anni. Brulen canta, suona il piano e il basso, la chitarra ritmica e solista e la batteria, oltre ad essere un cantautore autodidatta e addestrato da Lennon. Brulen scrive e suona anche le parti di produzione --- inclusi archi, fiati e arrangiamenti orchestrali. Brulen produce tutte le sue registrazioni. Inoltre, in qualit\u00e0 di ex tecnico del suono, Brulen registra, mixa e masterizza tutto ci\u00f2 che ascolti... ad eccezione degli ospiti in primo piano come si vede nei titoli di coda.
